Chess champion goes international
Master Sgt. Dan Ranario, 3rd Aerial Port Squadron, contemplates his next move during the Pope chess tournament at the community activities center in March. Sergeant Ranario competes in the 19th North Atlantic Treaty Organization Chess Championship Aug. 4 through 8 as a member of the U.S. chess team. He has been playing chess since he was 10 years old.
