Fairchild fuels the fight during Red Flag 14-1
A KC-135 Stratotanker from the 93rd Air Refueling Squadron from Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., refuels an F-22 Raptor from Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., during Red Flag 14-1 Jan. 28, 2014, over the Nevada Test and Training Range. Red Flag was developed by Maj. Moody Suter to simulate the first 10 combat missions pilots would face after the kill ratio declined to two to one during Vietnam during the pilots first 10 combat missions.
