Airman recovers from life-threatening illness thanks to innovative medical procedure
During her deployment to Afghanistan, Staff Sgt. Jennifer Vaughan served as a public health technician and said her time there “was amazing.” She said she joined the Air Force to be part of something special and after serving in North Dakota for five years this St. Louis native asked to be stationed here near family—a move that proved to be a “huge blessing” when her health crisis began.
