Fisher House II
Air Force and civilian dignitaries from Northern California gathered at Travis AFB, Calif., Nov. 13, 2013, to celebrate and take part in a ceremonial ground breaking ceremony for a second Fisher House at the base. The current Travis Fisher House has been occupied 100 percent with 15 to 20 people on the waiting list since 2009. In 2012 the Fisher House Foundation served more than 19,000 families, saving veterans and military families an estimated $30 million in food, lodging and transportation costs during their medical care and rehabilitation.
