The flipside of an Airman’s unexpected journey with cancer
Col. David Barnes, 618th Air and Space Operations Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center) senior director of operations, his wife, Kelly, and Jenny Juenger, 375th Flight Medicine nurse, were all part of Barnes' journey from being diagnosed with cancer to passign his PT test with a score above a 90 within a year. His journey to health would not have been possible without the assistance of his family, the medical staff at Scott Air Force Base and Barnes Jewish Hospital and his wingmen.
