HAZMAT exercise strengthens response capabilities
Members of the Spokane, Wash. fire department receive a mission briefing with Team Fairchild emergency responders during a hazardous materials emergency response exercise Dec. 10, 2014, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. During the four day exercise, Airmen and local agencies came together to practicing scenarios such as train derailments and gas leaks through building ventilation systems. This is the first time these agencies have worked together in a training environment since the 1990s. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Mary O'Dell)
