Local community marks B-29 rollout
Col. James Dermer, 22nd Air Refueling Wing vice commander, poses with Larry Lawson, Spirit AeroSystems CEO and president, under the nose of a B-29 Superfortress, March 23, 2015, in Wichita, Kan. The B-29, named Doc after its nose art, was found in the Mojave Desert in 1987, and volunteers have spent more than 300,000 hours restoring it since then.
