Group gets new commander, new name

Col. Kelly Holbert accepts the 43d Air Mobility Operations Group guidon from Brig. Gen. James Scanlan during a change-of-command ceremony at Pope Field June 14. Holbert came to Pope from Air Mobility Command headquarters at Scott Air Force Base, Ill, where he served as the chief of the Resource, Requirements and Readiness Division. He took command of the group here, formerly named the 43d Airlift Group, after it was redesignated as the 43d AMOG during the ceremony.
