SPMAGTF-SC, JTF-Bravo disaster relief in Haiti enabled by logistics, ‘Rapid Global Mobility’
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Dustin Jett, 612th Air Base Squadron senior information controller, helps aircrew members from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas load a “conex” box onto a C-130J Hercules at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Oct. 7, 2016. U.S. Southern Command requested heavy airlift to transport critical equipment packages needed to sustain helicopter flight operations in Haiti being conducted by Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Southern Command and Joint Task Force-Bravo’s 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment using two CH-53E Super Stallions, three CH-47 Chinooks, and two UH-60L and two HH-60L Black Hawks in support of the U.S. Agency for International Development-led mission to alleviate human suffering and bolster Haitian disaster response capabilities.
