Airmen conduct low approach training with C-17s at Douthit Gunnery Complex
Airmen of the 97th Air Mobility Wing from Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, conduct low approach training with two C-17 Globemaster III aircraft at Savage Air Strip Oct. 13 at Douthit Gunnery Complex. Due to its close proximity in the Midwest, the dirt strip at Fort Riley is an appealing place for Airmen and Soldiers to conduct joint training with large aircraft like the C-17, said Col. Doug Snead, 621st Mobility Support Operations Squadron.
