Dover Airmen restore pride through C-5M refurbishment

U.S. Air Force Col. Jamil Musa, 436th Airlift Wing commander, and Col. Eric J. Rivero, 512th Airlift Wing commander, sit inside the flight deck of a refurbished C-5M Super Galaxy at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, July 6, 2026. Wing leadership received a final look at the aircraft after maintainers completed interior updates as part of the aircraft’s scheduled Major Isochronal Inspection. Tail 6020 was the first aircraft selected for Dover’s C-5M refurbishment pilot effort, which aims to return cleaner and more functional aircraft spaces to the flight line.
