Dover Airmen restore pride through C-5M refurbishment
U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 436th Maintenance Squadron inspect interior panels inside a C-5M Super Galaxy at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, May 20, 2026. The maintenance team worked together inside the aircraft’s flight deck area to identify worn components and prepare spaces for refurbishment. The Dover AFB C-5M Galaxy Flight Deck Refurbishment project is designed to restore worn crew areas while keeping the work within the aircraft’s scheduled maintenance timeline.
