Airmen of the 370th and 770th Air Expeditionary Advisory Squadrons play an important role in assisting the Iraqi military by sending critical cargo and forces downrange to support the fight against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. These Airmen are responsible for advising and assisting the Iraqi air force in maintaining and flying the C-130J Super Hercules.

A U.S. Airman assigned to the 1st Expeditionary Civil Engineering Group operates a volumetric mixer during runway repair operations at Qayyarah West airfield, Iraq, Oct.9, 2016. 1st ECEG has been tasked with repairing the runway after the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) destroyed it by using heavy machinery and explosives to disrupt Coalition forces from gaining control in the area.
