Starting Monday, May 18th, Gate 3A will experience nightly and potential weekend closures for approximately 60 days due to scheduled maintenance. Gates 2 and 4 will become the primary 24/7 entry points. Nightly: Monday through Thursday, from 1930 to 0400, Gate 3A (including ramps and lanes) will be closed.  Operating hours for Gate 22 are from 0500 to 1900 local daily; secured (closed) on weekends.  Personnel should plan for delays and follow all posted detours. THE MAY 28th PATRIOT EXPRESS (PE) FLIGHT IS CANCELLED. THE NEXT AVAILABLE FLIGHT DEPARTS JUNE 11th AT 0700 LOCAL.  TRAVEL TO BAHRAIN IS CURRENTLY PENDING CLEARANCE PROTOCOLS.  PLEASE ADJUST YOUR TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS TO ACCOMMODATE THESE CHANGES.  FOR THE LATEST UPDATES, REGULARLY CHECK THE 72-HOUR SCHEDULE OR CONTACT THE PASSENGER SERVICE DISPATCH OFFICE.  Duty passengers (traveling Space Required) must submit a complete and legible paper copy of their funded travel orders upon check-in.

Welcome to the Naval Station Norfolk AMC Passenger Terminal

Pre-Booked Passengers & Space Required Passengers

For Patriot Express (PE) flights, check-in counters open at 1800 local time the day before departure.  For all other military aircraft, check-in opens 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. Keep in mind when checking in early, passengers will need to have ALL checked baggage, carry-on items, and pets with them. Passengers need to have all documentation (passports, funded orders, pet paperwork, etc.) ready and on their person at all times. Duty, PCS, and Pre-Booked passengers must be in the terminal NO LATER THAN (NLT) **3 hours** prior to PE scheduled departure and **2 hours** prior to all other military flight departures. Those passengers who arrive after the NLT time will be re-directed to the Information Counter for further instructions.  Check our 72-Hour Schedule for NLT times & roll call times for Pre-Booked passengers & Space-Required passengers. Space Available Passengers

The Space-Available program is currently available to all passengers that fall within the categories as stated in the Department of Defense Instruction 4515.13, Air Transportation Eligibility.

All eligible Space-A passengers are still required to comply with the travel requirements stated in the DoD Force Health Protection Guidance and the Foreign Clearance Guide.

Roll calls are conducted at the Information/Space-A counter 3 hours prior to departure for Patriot Express flights and 2 hours prior to departure for all other flights unless otherwise stated. Roll call times can be verified by the "72-Hour Schedule" icon above. To view recent roll call trends please see the "Roll Call" icon above. Keep in mind Space-A travelers on a Patriot Express flight will incur a charge of $23.40 per passenger for Head Tax. Traveling with Pets

Pets that are booked in the belly of the aircraft are allowed on the first-floor arrivals area only.  All pets must remain in their carrier while in the terminal.  Please walk pets before boarding your flight.  The Pet Exercise Area is located outside the terminal to the left.

Long-Term Parking

Long-term parking passes are available for up to 60 days.  Please have vehicle tag number available.  Long-term parking is in rows 9 & 10 only.

Additional Information

The Norfolk Navy Operated AMC Passenger Terminal will no longer accept cash payment. All charges will be via card transaction. 

Passengers are reminded that checked baggage limitations are: 2 bags per individual, limited to 70 pounds max weight per bag and not to exceed the dimensions of 62 linear inches, unless otherwise stated on your orders. Passengers may have one carry-on bag and one personal item that must fit under any aircraft seat or in overhead compartment of commercial aircraft. For flight safety, lithium batteries and e-cigarettes are not allowed in checked baggage.  For a complete list of prohibited items, visit the TSA website.
