The 97th LRS is part of the 97th AMW, located in Altus, Oklahoma. Altus AFB is home to the C-17 Globemaster, KC-46 Pegasus, and KC-135 Tankers. Our mission as the 97th LRS is to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and manage all logistic support activities for the Wing training mission of the C-17, KC-46, and KC-135 aircrew. The pax terminal will open 1 hours prior to Roll Call to provide space available travel opportunities when the mission dictates.

Altus AFB is a training base and does not have regular Space-A flights.
Duty Passengers (Space-Required Passengers)
Duty passengers on Travel Orders are to check-in at the front desk at the Pax Terminal. Counters open for check-in 4 hours prior to departure. Duty passengers must be in line NO LATER THAN (NLT) ** 2 Hours ** prior to scheduled departure. Those passengers who arrive after the NLT time will be re-directed to Customer Service for further re-booking information or as PCS/TDY orders instruct.
Space Available Passengers
Roll calls are conducted at the Passenger Terminal ticket counter 3 hours prior to departure.
Space Available seats are often limited, therefor, passenger planning and flexibility is key to Space Available travel.
Passengers are reminded that baggage limitations are: 2 bags per individual, limited to 70 pounds max weight per bag and not to exceed the dimensions of 62 linear inches. Passengers may have one carry-on bag and one personal item, that must fit under any aircraft seat and cannot exceed 42 pounds total.
Passengers who desire Space-A travel on flights with Roll Call times between 1500 to 0700, Monday through Friday, or any time on Weekends must let us know of their intent to travel no later than 1500 on the last duty day prior to the flight.
The Altus Passenger Terminal is only staffed during Space-Required and Space-Available missions.
