U.S. Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Airmen from the 6th Civil Engineer Squadron rehearse techniques and tactics used to handle improvised explosive devices in a simulated training environment at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Aug. 13, 2021. EOD technicians at MacDill AFB support a large number of U.S. Secret Service missions protecting the President, Vice President and other U.S. and foreign dignitaries in addition to providing emergency support on base and within the local community. Training exercises involving live explosives provide realistic experiences for EOD Airmen and prepare them for challenges that they may be confronted with. (U.S. Air Force photos by Airman 1st Class Joshua Hastings)
