Welcome to the Dover Air Force Base Passenger Terminal

Duty Passengers

Duty passengers on Travel Orders are to check-in at the Passenger Service Counters located to your immediate right when you enter the terminal. Counters open for check-in 5 hrs prior to departure. Duty passengers must be in line NO LATER THAN (NLT) **3 hrs 20 mins** prior to scheduled departure. Those passengers who arrive after the NLT time will be re-directed to Customer Service for further re-booking information or as PCS orders instruct.

Duty Standby & Space Available Passengers

Roll calls are conducted at the AMC ticket counter 3 hours prior to departure. Due to medical screening, it is recommended that passengers arrive approximately one or two hours prior to roll call time, in order to ensure time for processing.

Space Available seats are often limited, therefore, passenger planning and flexibility is key to Space Available travel.

Passengers are reminded that baggage limitations are: 2 bags per individual, limited to 70 pounds max weight per bag and not to exceed the dimensions of 62 linear inches. Passengers may have one carry-on bag and one personal item, that must fit under any aircraft seat.

We are committed to providing you the best possible service. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns during your visit.

Travel to Germany

Official and leave travel to Germany will be considered on a case-by-case basis, consideration for this and exception to travel lies with the first O-6 or higher in the travelers chain of command.

  1. General. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government of Germany has implemented several regulations that impact travel into Germany, to include entry restrictions, additional required documentation, registration requirements, and quarantine requirements. Those four subjects and their exceptions are covered in detail below. If you intend to travel to Germany from another country, please read this document in its entirety; exceptions for certain types of travelers to one type of regulation will not necessarily apply to all the others.
    1. Germany’s travel regulations are updated frequently. If you’re traveling to Germany and have a parent- or sponsor-unit based in Germany, you must contact them to determine the latest restrictions according to the local government, military installation, and unit (to include any Restriction of Movement [ROM] requirements). In exceptional circumstances when you’re traveling to Germany and do not have a parent- or sponsor-unit inside Germany, contact the U.S. Defense AttachĂ© Office (USDAO) in Berlin (usdaoberlin@state.gov) for the latest information on pandemic-related restrictions within Germany before your travel begins.
    2. Germany classifies other places that it considers to be pandemic risk areas into one of two categories (listed below). Those categories are then used to determine which regulations apply in certain cases for incoming travelers. The Robert Koch Institute controls those classifications, and a regularly updated comprehensive list can be found in English here (changes are listed at the top, but read down for the full lists): https://www.rki.de/DE/Content/InfAZ/N/Neuartiges_Coronavirus/Transport/Arc hiv_Risikogebiete/Risikogebiete_aktuell_en.pdf?__blob=publicationFile
