Welcome to the AMC Charleston Passenger Terminal

We are located on Joint Base Charleston in North Charleston, S.C. Our primary destinations for Space A Travel - in terms of numbers of passengers - are Ramstein Air Base, Germany and Joint Base Andrews, MD. We periodically have flights all throughout the world but travelers are reminded flights are mission-driven and frequency of flights / destinations do change.

Duty Passengers

Passenger Service Counters are open for check-in 6 hrs prior to departure. Duty passengers must be in line NO LATER THAN (NLT) **3 hrs 20 mins** prior to scheduled departure. Those passengers who arrive after the NLT time will be re-directed to Customer Service for further re-booking information or as PCS orders instruct.

Duty Standby & Space Available Passengers

Roll calls are conducted at the AMC ticket counter 3 hrs & 20 mins prior to aircraft departure. It is recommended that passengers arrive 30 mins prior to roll call time to ensure travel document accuracy.

Passengers are reminded that baggage limitations are set for two bags per individual, limited to 70 pounds maximum weight per bag and not to exceed the dimensions of 62 linear inches. Passengers may carry up to one carry-on bag and it must be able to fit under any aircraft's seat.

Per DODI 4515.13, Section 4, Paragraph 4.1.a., Reservations. There is no guarantee of transportation and reservations will not be accepted or made for any space-available traveler. The DoD is not obligated to continue an individual's travel or return the individual to the point of origin or any other point. Travelers should have sufficient personal funds to pay for commercial transportation, lodging, and other expenses if space-available transportation is not available. All associated expenses are the responsibility of the traveler.
